I love to cook, I mean really love it.

But sometimes I just want something easy and quick for dinner. To make that happen every year my husband makes delicious Sheboygan Style Bratwurst in all natural casings so we can pull them out anytime I just want something quick and easy.

Next time he makes these I will show you guys the process, but for now I will show you how to make the yummy buns to go with it.

These buns are made out of one ingredient EGG WHITES! And I know what your thinking what do you do with all the egg yolks? Stay tuned and I’ll show you! 😉

Egg White Buns

Ingredients:

• 12 eggs, seperated

• 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

• 1/2 cup egg white powder(found here)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

  2. seperate egg whites and yolks), and whip the whites for a few minutes until stiff (my kitchenaid is on high for approx 4 minutes.) Halfway though whipping drop in optional cream of tartar.

  3. As the mixer is still beating the egg whites add in egg white powder.

  4. Using a silicone mold(I use this one) spread egg white mixture onto hotdog bun mold.

  5. Bake for 40 minutes in preheated oven. After 40 minutes turn oven off and let sit in hot oven for 1 hour.

  6. Remove, slice and enjoy!
